  30)   Deed history and probate inventory research - December 27, 2000             Walt Landgraf continues his ongoing deed research of the Squires Tavern lot.  He meets with Fred Warner to review the deed history and probate inventory of Bela Squires.  This information will be used for the National Register application.  The deed history for the land can now be documented from the present all the way back to lot 42 laid out to Isaac Bissell in the fourth land division of the Town of Barkhamsted in 1760.   26)   Historical Society receives draft of lease from State! - December 15, 2000             Committee chair Leslie Cosgrove receives the State DEP's draft of the lease of the Squires Tavern building.  This 30 year lease, which will be between the State and the Town of Barkhamsted, will be reviewed by the Town and the Historical Society.   25)   Investigation of house interior features - December 12, 2000             Walt Landgraf, Harriet Winchenbaugh and Fred Warner investigate some of the interior features of the house.  They uncover the fireplace in the kitchen and find that it is probably too small to have served as the main cook fireplace during the early 1800's.  They also confirm that the floor of the attic has insulation.
