41) Research effort produces another key fact - March 8, 2001
Walt Landgraf's team of researchers continues genealogy and land records work. One key fact that comes to light is the earliest reference found so far of a house at the site. In an 1801 deed from Bennett to Upson, the house is specifically mentioned. While this is the earliest reference to the house, it does not nail down when the house was built. Based on a high sales price shown in a 1795 deed it is likely that the house was also present at that point in time.
